LIMA LPG-systems

LPG System Components

1. ECU

The Lima-ECU controls the LPG system by:

  • Measuring the OEM signals, petrol-injectors, rpm, MAP, coolant, etc.
  • Controlling the Lima LPG-solenoids
  • Controlling the Lima LPG-injectors
  • Shutting off the petrol-injectors
  • Displaying fuel choice
  • Communication with the diagnostics program
  • Injector drivers based on “closed loop peak & hold current control”
  • Constant monitoring of the injector diagnostics:
    • Overload
    • Driver temperature
    • Short circuit
    • No load
  • Communication with the diagnostics program
  • Diagnostics software compatible with Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista
  • CAN-controller (2.0b) enables communication with OEM CAN-bus

2. Reducer

This device converts liquid LPG to vaporized LPG using the coolant system of the engine. It also serves to reduce the tank pressure to working pressure.

- Coils with 1,2 and 6 Ohm upon request
Accessories included:
bracket and fixing accessories, M5 or M6 nozzles for intake manifold
Accessories not included:
- temperature sensor with/without connection for pressure sensor, connector with connection for pressure sensor only,
calibrated nozzles with internal diameter of 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8mm

5. Lima LPG Switch

The fuel switch used by the VSI-system controls the following functions: fuel choice. monitoring the fuel level. reporting errors. The fuel switch is operated by a touch key to switch from petrol to LPG and vice-versa. The fuel switch is also equipped with LED indicators to monitor the level of the fuel in the tank. When the LPG level is too low the reserve LED lights up. When there is an automatic switch-over to petrol because the LPG tank is empty, the driver is warned by a buzzer signal and a flashing LED indicator.
